Tips and tricks for inhalation with the Watchhaler.

- If possible, use play to train the child to inhale with the Watchhaler. Do this initially without the medication before the child uses the Watchhaler for treatment purposes. It may be necessary to demonstrate how to inhale with the Watchhaler (though without medication) so that the child can see how the balloon collapses.

- Before treatment, make sure that the Watchhaler is working properly. When you are sucking, the balloon must collapse and then return to its fully expanded form.

- Each time you use the Watchhaler, make sure you follow the hygiene instructions beforehand (cleaning, disinfection and drying).

- Before filling, always check that the Watchhaler is not damaged and that none of the parts have broken off. If your Watchhaler is damaged, you must replace it at once.

- The Watchhaler can be used with most licensed metered dose inhalers. The essential thing to note is that the mouth piece of the MDI must fit the mouth piece of the Watchhaler. When filling, the MDI can in principle be pushed into the front or rear position angle on the Watchhaler mouth piece.
